Scott and Julian through to the A Final at the World Under-23 Rowing Championships!

The Old Andrean community could not be prouder of Scott Moorcroft and Julian Walsh, who are representing South Africa this weekend at the World Rowing Under-23 Championships in Duisburg, Germany.

Behind every race at this level lies years of relentless training, sacrifice, discipline and determination, often far more than most people ever see. To earn the opportunity to wear the green and gold on the world stage is an extraordinary achievement in itself.

And now for the latest news… Scott and Julian, rowing in South Africa’s Men’s MB4 crew, finished third in their semi-final, securing their place in the A Final! This is an exceptional performance for a crew that has been rowing together for just three weeks.

Their rowing journey began together in Makhanda, where a friendship forged in a boat has now carried them onto one of the biggest stages in international rowing. It is a wonderful reminder of the lasting bonds, opportunities and foundations built at College.

Congratulations, Scott and Julian. The entire College family and OA community will be cheering you and your crew on in the final.

Nec Aspera Terrent!
