Mark Patterson (Upper 1969) racing in the Le Mans 24 Hours

Old Andrean, Mark Patterson (Upper 1969) will again be racing in the 88th running of the Le Mans 24 Hours this coming weekend. Mark is turning 69 in December and this makes him the oldest competitor in his specific category – Mark drives a LMP2 prototype class car. Mark’s age record will stand in the LMP2 class, but not overall as there is a 74-year-old racing this weekend in a GTE class car (the slowest class at Monza).

Mark’s number 33 car is proudly displaying the SA flag on the left spoiler.

College wishes you the very best for the race this weekend, Mark, and herewith a special message from the 1969 leavers: “The 69ers all wish Mark success and a safe drive.”You can follow the Le Mans here: https://www.lemans.org/en/24-hours-of-le-mans
